Three bags full
Hello fabulous people.
My earlier posts have showcased clever producers using reclaimed materials in their products. Today's post is about a Nelson based business, The Green Collective that not only does that but also makes other products that enable us to live more sustainably in our daily lives. They are so passionate about saving our landfills and make big tote bags out of old bouncy castle PVC and straps from old-of-date children's car seats. Super cool! Click here for images.
Some of their other products are also bags, and while not made from reclaimed materials they do reduce the need for single-use plastic bags/packaging. They made super strong, reusable, stretchy Goodie bags for fruit & vegies that mean we could avoid plastic bags entirely at the supermarket. Hooray to that! Goodie bags come in vibrant sets of three. They're washable and can be used for a whole range of things - making cheese/organise clothes in suitcases etc. They also make and sell Organic Cotton loot bags which are perfect for bulk goods, fresh bread etc.
All their products are available online (some are also available at Raeward Fresh outlets & some supermarkets) and they're sent to you in pre-loved packaging. I hope this may inspire you as it did me, to think creatively and do the same when sending things around the traps.
Supermarket shopping really is more enjoyable with Goodie bags in your trolley. Enjoy.
